A small project built around one narrow tool: a self-guided IQ test that scores itself the moment you finish, with nothing to buy and nothing to install.
Why this website exists
Most quick IQ-style quizzes online are wrapped around a paywall, an account signup, or an app download before they'll show you a number. WhatMyIQToday exists to do the opposite: a complete, forty-question test you can take start to finish in one sitting, with your score calculated instantly and nothing asked of you first.
We are an independent, non-commercial testing tool. There is no paid product placement on this website, no purchase required to take the test, and no account needed to see your result.
What the test measures
The test is built from 3×3 figural matrices: eight geometric figures follow a rule, and you work out which figure belongs in the empty ninth cell. Each question shows six possible answers and has exactly one correct one, you have forty minutes on a running timer, and your score is calculated in your browser the moment you finish or the clock runs out.
This is a good-faith, original test built to give you a quick, structured sense of how you reason under a time limit — not a substitute for a professionally administered psychometric assessment. See the section below on what the score does and does not mean.

We do not describe this test as clinically validated, professionally administered, or a substitute for a diagnostic assessment. If a claim isn't something we can stand behind, it does not appear on the page.
How the test is built
Every question, the scoring formula, and the distribution chart were built specifically for this site. The scoring is deterministic — the same answers always produce the same score.
No paid placement
There is nothing to buy on this website and nothing being promoted. The homepage, the test, and this page are not sponsored content.
Corrections
If something we publish is inaccurate or unclear, write to us and we will review it. We would rather fix a page than defend it.
What the score does and does not mean
Your result is calculated from how many of the forty questions you answered correctly and how quickly you finished, mapped onto a standard normal distribution with a mean of 100 and a standard deviation of 15 — the same scale used to describe IQ scores generally. It is a genuine, deterministic calculation, not a randomly generated number.
It is not, however, a clinically validated or professionally administered intelligence assessment. Treat it as an informational and entertainment exercise, not as evidence for a diagnostic, medical, educational placement, or employment decision. Full detail is in our Disclaimer.
